Last Quarter Moon in Pisces: Dream On

The Last Quarter square between the Sun and Moon is our chance to make good on the Full Moon’s promise before the last waning phase and New Moon to come.

This is not a “last chance ever” but more of a “what do I need to hold on to, build on, and integrate?” This is especially true when the Last Quarter is a square from a Pisces Moon to a Sun–Venus conjunction in Gemini.

Mutable squares are gentler than cardinal or fixed ones, but there’s still a challenge here. Pisces and Gemini are not the same.

They both share a wide-open perceptual field and openness to possibility. Gemini is here-and-now, present moment, curious and active. Pisces is inclusive in time and space, also curious but in a more receptive way.

We’re invited to open our minds and hearts, to work with the changes we’ve already experienced and accept the changes to come.

May 29, Mars will conjunct Chiron in Aries. Here we face into the downside of an active, direct, no-holds-barred Mars. In Aries, Mars separates, cuts, acts boldly. Sometimes we want to separate from something and it still hurts. Sometimes being cut out, or having to cut out, just hurts.

Remember, Chiron is not pushing on old patterns for no reason. We’re invited to notice we’re older, wiser, and have more resources. What can we shift? What can we release?

May 31, Mercury reaches exact conjunction with Uranus. Changes in the wind become real. We can see it, hear it, touch it. We can think and speak about it.

June 2, just before we enter the Balsamic phase, Jupiter trines Pluto. We’re expanding our capacity to transform. We feel wind under our sails to embrace changes we know we need to make.

During all of this, we combine Gemini and Pisces in creative ways. What’s in front of us is important, and we can explore its wider context and meaning. Our cosmic experiences are wonderful, and how do we make them tangible? How to we speak our dreams into reality?
