Tomorrow morning, September 24, we reach the waning sextile within the Last Quarter phase. The Moon at 1 Leo sextiles the Sun at 1 Libra.
A Leo Moon seems an odd fit for this time of looking inward. Aren’t we meant to be quietly contemplating and integrating and all that? The reminder here is, we don’t all process in the same way––and sometimes it’s good to try something new.
Sometimes we don’t know what we think ’til we hear what we say. This waning sextile will be like that.
Here we are in new territory and a brand new map. Really, this map is more of a rough sketch. Maybe it even has large areas that only say ‘Here be dragons.’
To learn where we are and how we feel about it, we’ll need to get creative and expressive. Get something on paper with pen, paint, pencils, brushes. Dance it out. Move stuff around.
Libra has the words and ideas. Leo has the passion to express. Let them do their stuff.
Maybe what comes up is what we don’t want to say. We get clear on who we are afraid to show things to. Are we afraid to compete? Afraid to be dismissed? Afraid we’ll go too far? These insights too can feed into this time of growth and understand.
Four hours after the Sun–Moon sextile, the Moon trines Chiron. What we do, what we choose not to do, can point us right back at core patterns of wounding. Ouch, and good to know.
Eight hours after the sextile, the Moon squares Uranus. We’re challenged to make a change, or embrace a change already unfolding around us.
Overnight, the Moon sextiles Venus in Libra. We touch the heart of beauty, if only in our dreams.
