This morning’s Waxing Sextile Moon emphasizes the importance of the future and, at the same time, how tricky it is to see ahead.
Once again, we see the North Node of the Moon as the “handle” of a basket containing the rest of the planets. The North Node is the head of the dragon, looking ahead, taking in new things, snapping them up.
This North Node is the apex of a yod—that aspect again but with the Sun and Moon this time. The NN is cardinal Water. The Sun is mutable Fire. The Moon is fixed Air. How can they reach understanding?
Somehow, the answer lies with the South Node, currently conjunct Venus and sextile Mars. Capricorn–Scorpio connections point to the deep structures of things. Capricorn is about form, structure, boundaries. Scorpio is about the hidden forces that make things move.
We hear the future calling. It’s almost a siren song, this Cancerian voice, a promise of how wonderful things can be if we learn how to care for each other.
To get there, though, we need to recognize the structures that both support and contain us, and the forces within our psyches that drive what we do.
This may sound daunting. At this Sun–Moon sextile, though, we are also enlivened. Jupiter moves into Capricorn today, bringing philosophical insight to what is solid and feels unmovable.
There is a way forward. It’s real, tangible, and reachable. It won’t be easy but nothing worthwhile ever is.
We put our new insights into action, moving toward our goals.
