As we entered the Crescent Moon phase this morning, the Taurus Moon was conjunct Venus in Taurus and trine Jupiter in Capricorn. If we focus in on that for a moment, we see good fortune based in a calm, peaceful attitude and a dedication to hard work that is both generous and dedicated.
Breathe that in. These are seeds of spring. Notice whatever signs are presenting themselves to you. Here we have birdsong, spring greens, magnolia trees in the neighborhoods. We feel a surge of hope.
The Crescent phase asks us to accept the challenge of moving forward.
Of course that’s not all that’s going on. The Moon and Venus in Taurus also trine Pluto, as Jupiter approaches. The spring will not be like other springs. There is transformation here. Lies and rotten foundations are exposed. We are shocked into awareness.
The Crescent phase is also about reckoning with the past. What needs to be mended or healed? What needs to be gutted and rebuilt from scratch? What we miss now can come back to haunt us later.
As the Moon becomes visible, we sometimes see a dim outline of her fullness. This is earthshine, Earth reflecting the Sun’s light onto the Moon. Earthshine, foreshadowing the Full Moon, can lead us to believe we’re farther along than we are.
There is still work to be done. Not everything has been resolved. Not everything is taken care of. We welcome signs of spring to give us hope. Our work is worthy. The powers are ready to aid us.
