It’s late morning here and the Moon has shifted into Capricorn, slow and steady after her gallivant through Sagittarius. It’s Mother’s Day in the US and worth noting that Capricorn, an Earth sign, is “feminine,” although I find ‘yin’ a more useful term.
There are suggestions Saturn itself is female, which feels radical even to say in these times. Perhaps we can think of Saturn as nonbinary, as I am trying to do with all planets? Something to move into the future with.
This Moon is past her conjunction with the South Node in Sag, the place of the past. Interesting to consider that one delineation of Sag is the elder, the senex, opposing Gemini as youth, puer. What wisdom does the Moon bring from the South Node?
Mercury and the Sun trine Jupiter, ruler of Sag, along with Pluto. Moon trines Uranus the radical. Mercury squares Mars in Aquarius. So much Earth! With Mars in Air: Interesting combination.
This is a ‘roll up your sleeves” chart. Boots on the ground. Great ideas are great, and to make things happen, we need solid action. This is gardening. This is rebuilding. So much is broken. What can be done?
The Disseminating phase is about sharing. The Full Moon illumination is coming to a close. What have we seen, understood, accomplished, that is ready to share?
We’re weary of ideas, memes, words, numbers, charts. We’re weary of war, hate, destruction, and systems that pit us against one another.
We’re ready for change. Constructive change. Healthy. Strengthening. Life affirming. We long for a world that is stable, strong, and healthy. One that supports all people.
What concrete actions can we take to bring that about? This month’s Disseminating Moon wants action plans.
Poet and suffragist Julia Ward Howe created Mother’s Day to bring mother’s voices forward after the terrible carnage of the Civil War. It was called Mother’s Day for Peace.
Let’s work together to create that reality. Take action. Share that.
