Saturn Square Uranus: Steadfast

posted in: Celestial Event | 0

Overnight, we reach another milestone of this year: The third and final exact square between Saturn and Uranus.

This contentious challenge has been a hallmark of 2021. In every arena, it seems, forces of change confront forces of tradition, without real clarity on which way is best.

We see around us lines in the sand and staked-out positions. We’re offered arguments on all sides for why one is right and the other wrong. We may feel shaken at the power of the forces arrayed against each other. And the best way forward remains unclear.

We find the Moon in the final, intense degree of Leo in a tight opposition to Jupiter in the final, intense degree of Aquarius. These two encapsulate what many of us feel.

The Moon at the end of Leo has won battles, made gains, established a position. This is where we might be in our lives. And then we realize having is not enough. We need to hold on to what we have. To defend and protect it.

Here the Lion Moon needs to be tenacious.

Jupiter at the end of Aquarius is weary, disenchanted as he realizes some goals are hollow. Some gains not worth the effort. Parts of the game are rigged.

When a power like Jupiter becomes jaded, change will happen.

If Saturn and Uranus represent the contests of the outer world, the Moon and Jupiter point us to our own beliefs, attitudes, and emotions.

For we are not done with battles between change and stasis. This is the final exact square but these two remain close all through 2022. The world will still present seemingly irresolvable issues.

So at the final exact square, the Moon asks, what do we stand for? This is the question the Moon claimed yesterday, filled with the passion of having newly arrived in Leo. It was a delight to step forward and express our feelings and ideas.

Now we understand it’s not as simple as making one declaration.

Where are we committed to the long haul? Where can our efforts make a difference? Where is our heart ready to commit?

The Leo Moon asks, where are we steadfast?
