Tomorrow morning, we step into the First Quarter phase with the Moon in late Leo. In this final decan of fixed Fire, we feel the need to stand up, say what we need to say, show up for what we believe in.
The First Quarter is a square between the Sun and Moon. In this chart, the Moon also squares Jupiter, Uranus, and Venus. We define ourselves creatively (Venus) and expansively (Jupiter) as we face into big change (Uranus).
This Leo Moon also trines Chiron, Eris, and Mercury. We’re channelling personal pain and the world’s cares into strong expression. There’s a lot here to be said, seen, and heard.
While the Moon is not at her strongest in Leo, she is ruled by a Taurus Sun, in a Moon-friendly sign. There’s no need to move fast (despite what Mercury in Aries might say). We take the time to get clear on what we need to say.
This Sun–Moon square, in all its complexity, is in fixed signs. This has staying power. It’s time to dig deep, touch what’s authentic within us, and bring it forward. What we create now has roots and well as wings.
In these times of changes, all voices are important. All expressions have value. We have roles to play as audience to each other.
This same day, Mercury enters Taurus, enhancing the staying power of our expressions and our capacity to support others on their journeys.
May 18, within the First Quarter phase, Jupiter reaches cazimi with the Sun, the illumination of great things.
Leo is fearless. Taurus is steadfast. A great combination to bring forward our light.
Express yourself!

Thank you! This is somewhat hopeful and as we stand in the precipice of changes in our world, let them be carefully and decisively created.
“What we create now has roots as well as wings.” Love this as I work on a new art expression.
