We entered the Balsamic Moon phase a few hours ago. We are in the shadowy time when the Moon disappears from the sky and we reflect, release, and prepare for the New Moon in Libra.
What will a Leo Moon do here?
The patterns are complex. Sun and Moon in a semi square, a pushy energy that asks, What are you doing? What’s going on?
The Moon sits at the apex of yod, with awkward quincunxes to the Capricorn group and to Neptune. Right now, neither hard reality nor dreamy fantasy is tracking for us.
The Moon trines Jupiter and sextiles Libra. This feels better. Possibilities here for creative expression and connection.
The Libra Sun opposes Chiron. We see our wounding from a new perspective. Others, perhaps, did not mean to hurt us, although we were hurt. Or maybe we see, with Libra’s ‘outside’ view, that the hurt was an acting out, a need to hurt that we received but did not deserve.
We’re in tricky territory. We’ve had a tough time lately and achieved some things. We want recognition for what we’ve survived and where we’ve triumphed. And yet, are we really there yet?
Sometimes the Balsamic Moon shows us what more is left to do, the thing we have almost overlooked. In this cycle, it may have to do with how we interpret our past. How we see who we were, who they were, and who we all are now.
It might not be exactly what we expected, and yet it will prove to be something we need. The last piece of this puzzle so we can put it away as we turn to the next bit of the journey.
