Balsamic Moon in Pisces: Let It Go

posted in: Balsamic Moon, Pisces | 0

Tonight as the Moon enters Pisces, we step into the Balsamic phase.

In the waning cycle, this is the time of letting go. Having come to realizations with the Full Moon, shared our learning, taken action to make good on the Full Moon’s offerings, we find ourselves at the last stage.

What have we gained during this cycle? What must we now let go of to prepare for the New Moon?

The first decan of Pisces is the perfect place for this. In the Tarot, the card of this decan is the 8 of Cups. A figure walks away from eight cups on the ground. The figure ascends a rising path but has not reached the summit. The cups, full, are left behind.

Whether we key into a sense of regret, or feel more we’ve completed something important, we know this is inevitable. Whatever the cups hold, it must be relinquished. We cannot carry them any longer.

We’ve spent a lot of time in Saturnian territory this waning cycle. This first decan of Pisces is also ruled by Saturn. There’s a boundary to set here. Choices to make.

You will know best what your eight cups hold.

I suspect, though, we’re asked to let go especially of naive thinking. We’ve been through a series of Moon transits that had us looking at what was real and then considering what core principles supported that reality.

Yes, we’re heading into dreamy Pisces, but we come with new understandings. Goals. Commitments. Plans.

The New Moon in Aries will be filled with a bright, scintillating energy offering transformative change.

Releasing hopes, dreams, images, and ways of being that don’t really fit the world we’re in will open our hearts and minds to embrace the new fire about to be lit.
