I am awake too late and writing this post as the Crescent Moon approaches. This semisquare between Sun and Moon marks a point of challenge in this waxing Moon phase, our first check on the way to the Full Moon.
We’ve just entered Sagittarius season. The Sun is only at 7 Sag, still within the first decan. Yet it somehow doesn’t feel like it. There is a weightiness to this time and the presence of shadow that get in the way of Sagittarian optimism and enthusiasm.
One glance at the chart tells you why: The North Node is a lone focal point with all the weight of Capricorn hanging around the South Node.
The Sun is almost alone in Sag. Jupiter teeters at the very edge of its final decan, a place where he knows it’s time to pay the piper.
The Sun sits at the apex of a wide yod with the North Node and Uranus at its base. The future pulls us forward. Are we ready?
This is the key question at the Crescent Moon.
We want to take action to realize our goals. We’re ready to put on speed. But are we more interested in reaching the goal or running away from looming dangers?
Mars sextiles Venus, Ceres, and the South Node, and trine the North. Mercury sextiles Saturn. The Moon is conjunct Pluto.
There’s a lot of hard reality here and a bunch of feelings we might prefer to avoid. Yet we can only attain our ultimate desires by staying the course, however difficult.
What’s your focus? Which path are you choosing?
