Overnight, we step into the Crescent Moon with links from the Moon and Mercury to powerful outer planets and the Nodes. A Moon–Mercury sextile brings feeling and thinking together, helping sort things out.
In the Crescent phase, we shift from waiting for what the New Moon brings, to actively pursuing our goals. What did the New Moon show you? What’s your focus for this cycle?
Whatever it is, our actions and our fates intertwine.
The Moon and Mercury are sextile and quincunx Pluto. This yod points straight at Fate with a capital ‘F.’ How do you feel about Fate? What do you think about it? Yods are awkward. It takes work to find a balance point.
There’s a second yod. Neptune in Pisces sextiles Pluto. Both quincunx the Moon. Now Fate and Great Mystery look for a balance point in Emotions + Body. Also awkward, something to feel our way into.
The ‘answer’ to a yod is opposite the apex. Saturn opposes the Moon. Maybe we need structure to navigate the spaces between Fate and Great Mystery? Or Saturn reminds us that as humans, our time and understanding are finite. And that might not be a bad thing.
Now look to the Nodes of the Moon. Yep, squaring the Moon and Saturn. Fate again, plus the structures of time as we move from past to future. Does this feel complicated? No pressure 🙂
Sun and Moon are 45 degrees apart. The Sun separates from a square to Jupiter and moves into a square with Chiron. Venus likewise moves from a sextile to Jupiter into a sextile with Chiron. Healing opportunities can be found here.
If the world presses in too much (yes, yes, it is), move back to the Moon–Mercury sextile. What do you think and how do you feel about it? What do you feel and what thoughts come up around that?
A Leo Moon communing with Mercury Gemini is very creative. Think outside the box. Have fun with it. See where Big Ideas take you. Don’t lose touch with what you’re feeling and what your body wants and needs.
