We sail into the Crescent Moon today with a chart full of portents. In this phase the Moon gains light in the sky. We can see our way as we begin to chart a path toward our goals for this lunar cycle.
We can still rely on a strong Earth foundation. Mercury, Mars, the Sun, and Pluto remain in the strong building sign of Capricorn, which Jupiter and Uranus tend to the roots of things in Taurus.
Mercury applies to trine Jupiter, as Mars begins to separate from a Jupiter trine. The Sun is conjunct Pluto while still holding on to his position at the south bending (squaring the Nodes).
With the Sun at the south bending, we’re in a field of fate. To me, this signifies a time when the choices we make are important, and therefore deserve careful consideration. The Capricorn Sun in looking to the past, asking what needs to be released, what needs to be transformed.
Mercury and Mars trining Jupiter are asking, where is growth happening? Where can we invest our time and efforts wisely? What is needed to build new structures to support an emerging world?
The Moon in the first decan of Pisces ushers us into the labyrinth of consensual reality. This first decan is ruled by Saturn, also here in Pisces first decan. The Moon and Saturn sextile Jupiter in Taurus, and Mercury and Mars in Capricorn, communing with Earth.
We feel the grief we carry for the world as it is. There is time and space here for deep emotion.
This Moon will soon sail into Pisces’ second decan, in which the structures of the invisible realms become clearer. As we enter the Crescent phase, we may feel held back by cobwebs, invisible but strong. Soon, new possibilities will emerge.
Venus in Sagittarius is conjunct Ceres, the fierce maternal energy of the Greek goddess Demeter. Venus also trines the North Node while sextiling the South. We’re on a grand adventure, heading toward what we desire, informed by what has come before.
With this Pisces Moon, we begin the process of dreaming a new world into being.
