It’s Wednesday as I write as we rush headlong through the New Moon fiery energy. Tomorrow, Pluto steps into Aquarius for the first time in over 200 years.
Saturday just after midnight, we’ll enter the Crescent phase with a Taurus Moon. There’s a good chance we’ll sleep deeply, as the Moon is exalted in this sign of slow good things.
There’s still plenty of Aries: Sun, Mercury, Chiron, Jupiter, and Eris. Taurus is also strong, though, with the North Node, Venus, and Uranus––plus the Moon.
The Taurean message is: slow down. Aries wants to reach the finish line yesterday. Taurus knows some things can’t be rushed.
There’s an old joke that you can’t get baby by having nine women be pregnant for one month. A potent reminder that organic, sustainable growth takes as long as it takes.
To reach 19º Taurus, the Moon has met with the North Node and Uranus, as well as Venus. Our goals feel urgent. We’re committed to moving forward. After all, with Saturn gone from Aquarius, there’s no one there to say “no.”
The Taurus Moon reminds us not to overdo it. Take care of yourself. Allow change to unfold in healthy ways. Don’t push.
Early Saturday morning, Mars finally leaves Gemini to enter the sign of Cancer. This is another shift into a slower, more sustainable pace.
Generally, Mars does better in Gemini than Cancer, not caring for the emotionality of the Moon’s home sign. But Mars has been in Gemini forever. We’re all ready for a change.
This Mars is nurturing, reaching goals through taking care of others, an orientation that fits the Taurus Moon.
Saturday also brings us Mercury’s return to the sky as the evening star. The planet of thought and communication is ready to connect with us again.
Sunday morning, we reach the waxing sextile between the Sun and Moon, with the Moon in Gemini. We have plenty of ideas, as Mercury supercharges the Moon in bright Gemini. We’re simply applying those ideas to slower goals.
In the predawn hours of Tuesday, Mercury meets Jupiter. Jupiter brings a springtime energy boost to our minds, and also reminds us we’re in this for the long haul.
Hold on to the fire without burning yourself out. Slow growth is best.
