Early on June 7, we enter the time of the Disseminating Moon. Here we begin to share what we learned at the Full Moon. We might feel time itself slowing down to help us process.
The Sagittarius Full Moon’s bright energy was frenetic. Everything seemed to be moving at once. For some, this was enlivening, a welcome chance to move and feel events move in response to our efforts. For others, it was a distracting, overstimulated time. Across that spectrum, it was fiery and alive.
The Disseminating Moon has a measured, almost stately feel. This chart features a Grand Cross in the fixed signs that includes the Moon, Pluto, Venus, Jupiter, and the Nodes of the Moon.
Venus is a key player. June 5, she entered Leo. She is now the queen on this board. She will remain in the sign of fixed Fire until October, as this transit includes a retrograde.
As Venus entered Leo, she opposed Pluto, who sits at 0º Aquarius, moving slowly back into late Capricorn. Is Venus entering the Plutonian underworld or resisting doing so?
The Moon draws our attention to this question. She sits at 01º Aquarius, conjunct Pluto and opposing Venus. The Moon signals we will react, in some way, to this opposition. Are we intrigued? Entranced? Anxious? Do we want Venus to resist what might feel like darkness? Or are we prepared to make the journey?
The Venus retrograde in Capricorn that occurred at the end of 2021 included key aspects to Pluto. Perhaps this is a heads up to look back to that retrograde as we prepare for this year’s events.
The Moon–Pluto opposition to Venus is one axis of the Grand Cross. These planets square Jupiter and the Nodes of the Moon in Taurus and Scorpio. Now we enter the territory of Fate, a place where actions cast long shadows.
Venus, the Moon, and Pluto are “at the bendings,” halfway between the Nodes and the eclipses they point to. The Nodes will influence these planets.
The Moon moves toward the North Node. Her action in Aquarius will be seen externally. We are likely to react with our minds, taking a measured, rational approach to our emotions. Likewise, Pluto’s presence will be felt in the outer world. We may feel called to examine our motives and principles.
Venus moves toward the South Node. Her creative, passionate nature in Leo will be felt more internally. Perhaps we’ll feel drawn to explore spiritual aspects of Venusian realms.
The Sun in Gemini could be a help. While the Grand Cross has a somber tone at odds with Gemini’s bright curiosity, this Sun is very capable at holding dualities.
Over the next few days, deep issues may come up for review. Note any that might relate to where Venus in Leo will transit through your chart. Note the houses and planets touched by the Grand Cross.
Although the Disseminating phase implies action, this is not a time for hasty decisions. As in chess, we’ll want to consider long term implications before making a move.
