Early this evening, we enter the Disseminating phase, the time when we are processing and sharing our Full Moon experience.
The word of the day is “bombast.”
This chart has a Grand Trine in Fire that could create the best theatrical extravaganza ever, or land us in an epic argument.
The Moon in late Leo (drama to the max!) trines the North Node and the asteroid Eris in Aries (I am update/angry/traumatized by what is happening and it needs to change!) and also trines Mars and Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius (I have things to say and I need to say them now!).
You see what I mean? At this point, Venus has entered Sagittarius. While not part of the Grand Trine, she is jazzed up and ready to celebrate.
Bombast is highly dramatic, overblown, and extravagant speech, something these trines would revel in. The word derives from raw cotton that was used as stuffing, to fill out 16th century fashions for sleeves and pantaloons that stood out dramatically from the body.
Today and for the next few days, we’ll all be prone to the dramatic.
Of course, when we’re in good spirits, celebrating, and being sensitive and inclusion, this energy can creative fabulous parties.
But bombast has within it a tendency to self importance. The Leo Moon wants to be seen and heard. The North Node and Eris in Aries can be direct and aggressive. The planets in Sag can be prolix and pretentious.
What do we do?
Awareness is the first step. If we know we (and others) can get carried away, we can check ourselves and treat others with extra grace.
We can also flow those energies into playful, fun, and creative experiences. Be bold in imagining the year ahead! What would light you up in 2024?
Is there a big goal you can add to your list? Something that would feel like a creative reach, or bring you more visibility than you might feel comfortable with? Now’s the time to dream big!
