First Quarter Moon in Aquarius: Reckoning

posted in: Aquarius, First Quarter Moon | 2

Overnight we enter the First Quarter phase, time in the lunar cycle to turn our goals into something real. The Sun–Moon square is a challenge: It’s time to act.

Yet this First Quarter brings a square in the fixed signs, with the Sun at 17º Scorpio and the Moon at 17º Aquarius.

The shadowy, messy depths of Scorpio and the elevated, cerebral heights of Aquarius have very different goals.

To move forward, we need to resolve the conflict.

Scorpio wants our actions to be grounded in the depths of our psyches, taking dreams and desires and even repulsions into account. Without that anchoring in the deep, whatever we do will have no roots, no felt connection to who we are.

Aquarius wants a clear, crystalline plan based in our core principles. What are our highest aspirations? Only with clarity can we commit to our ultimate goal, pursuing each step with dedication.

The answer, as with any square, is a dynamic balance between both.

If we’ve been building castles in the air without taking the shadow into account, we might find ourselves in the mud. On the other hand, if we’re stuck in fears from the past, overwhelmed with nightmarish doomsday scenarios, reconnecting with a grand vision can provide hope and perspective.

This is a time for out-of-the-box thinking. Mercury and Venus are both out of bounds in Sagittarius. Time to reach for the stars, write that novel, or begin the spiritual journey you’ve been avoiding.

Adventure beckons.

Make peace with what is and reach for the next big dream.

Thank you! I hope you and your community are recovering from the storm. In synch with your words – yes it’s time to move past the shock and confusion many of us are feeling.
And you are so right a heartfelt vision is the medicine to heal and maybe even find joy. Yesterday I wrote and painted through lingering emotions. Today was the start of a vision board. Inspired the vision is emerging🙏🏻. Hope is a verb.

Thank you, Denisse, it will be years before western NC rebuilds completely, and yet it’s amazing how much has already been accomplished. Hope is a verb indeed!
