The Full Moon phase lasts from the moment of the Full Moon until the Disseminating phase, a square-and-a-half between Sun and Moon. This cycle, we remain with the Full Moon until 1:30 pm EDT on Sunday.
It’s good to have a sense of how long the different lunar phases last. Sometimes things happen, events that say something about the waning cycle we’ve now entered.
This Aries Full Moon came with added intensity. Mars sat with the Sun. Eris sat with the Moon. Pluto squared both sides.
Mars drew attention to the Moon in Aries, feisty, fiery, and combative. Pluto led us into deep places. Lord of the underworld, Pluto wants to know if our foundations are sound. He can dig into sensitive spots to find out.
Mars and Pluto squared each other at the Full Moon. Last night, overnight, that square became exact. This is an increase in the same kind of intensity I talked about for the Full Moon. Intense passion, expressed physically, erotically, or in confrontation. It feels as if this Full Moon hasn’t let go yet.
Mars and Pluto are are the ancient and modern rulers of Scorpio. Tonight, overnight, the Sun enters Scorpio.
We’re about to step into liminal, mysterious Scorpio. Here we find occult power, skillful manipulation, depth psychology, intuitive knowing, and fearlessness in the face of the Shadow.
We step through the Scorpio threshold with Mars remaining in a degree-based conjunction with the Sun and Pluto still holding to a degree-based square.
If you love Scorpio energy, you’re already feeling the change in the wind. Well, if you are uncomfortable with Scorpio, you’re also noticing the change but perhaps not welcoming it.
We’re entering into a place of mystery. A place where we can push the envelope, explore the edges of the known, and come back wiser. Deep healing is available if we can face our Shadow. It’s a great time to invite your demons to tea.
Find Scorpio in your birth chart. Power and mystery are found there. The doors are opening.
