Gibbous Moon in Scorpio: Let It Go

Overnight, we enter the Gibbous phase with a Scorpio Moon.

Let’s first talk about today.

We’re experiencing a shift, a large one, as Mercury and Venus leave giddy, clever, curious Gemini to enter Cancer, the sign of deep emotion, nurturing, and holding on.

Two things make this more intense. First, as each planet leaves Gemini, they square Neptune. This places the Gemini-to-Cancer shift on a much larger, cosmic scale.

Second, Venus and Mercury are out of bounds and will stay there through the Full Moon and after. The Moon will soon be OOB as well. This means all three planets will feel this shift in a bigger way, without limits.

The Sun will also move into Cancer (which is the Solstice) just before the Full Moon, with their own square to Neptune.

Starting today, emotions are heightened. We’ll feel things more strongly, in a more present way. So will everyone else.

Be aware of your emotional landscape. If strong feelings come up, be kind to yourself. If you see this in those around you, try to be supportive rather than reactive.

Meanwhile, the Moon in mid Scorpio is intense and insightful, and focused on what she wants. As a fixed sign, though, the waters of Scorpio can feel more like ice.

Moon is separating from an opposition to Mars in Taurus, ruler of Scorpio. This connection has a ruthless feel to it. Something that needs to be done. We find the strength and focus to do it.

This Moon is moving into a trine with Saturn in Pisces. Saturn’s measured approach brings balance. If Mars is impatient and the Moon determined, Saturn calls for a pause, considers long term consequences, and moves ahead slowly.

The Gibbous phase is our last challenge before the illumination of the Full Moon. We may need to let something go.

In this intense emotional landscape, lean into Saturn to make sure it’s what we really want.

Let it go, first making sure it’s the right thing, done in a good way.
