Tonight we enter the Last Quarter with a chart that is lit.
We have a Grand Trine in Fire with the Sun newly arrived in adventurous Sagittarius (yay!), the North Node in take-no-prisoners Aries, and Mars in let’s-do-it! Leo.
Mercury in Sag lights up our thinking. Mercury is also out of bounds, so, our ideas and plans will be outside the box and weird.
This is high key. This is turn-up-the-volume, let’s-get-crazy. This is finding joy in times of challenge and seeking out creative communities to keep the fires going.
We need this light and warmth, but the chart holds more. Two oppositions complexify the Grand Trine.
Pluto opposes Mars, while sextiling the North Node and Sun. Deep transformation is in the air. Pluto is reorienting from past to future, physical to digital, concrete to conceptual.
Pluto’s role is testing foundations and finding weak spots. This is true for societies, as it is for individuals. Pluto has no problem with Fire, but will definitely look under the hood to see where the fuel is coming from and what it costs.
The South Node in Libra is (of course) opposing the North Node while sextiling the Sun and Mars, and trining Pluto. Aquarius and Libra share a focus on the collective, on society’s needs and perspectives, which Fire signs can miss.
When we feel the fiery drive to do what we want, how and when we want it, Pluto and the South Node remind us we don’t live in a vacuum. There are others here.
Then we have a low key Moon in Virgo, squaring the Sun. This is the voice that says, are we safe? We don’t want anyone to get burned. Where are the fire extinguishers? Is everyone OK?
The Fire planets might want to pat the Virgo Moon on the head and get on with the party. But we miss the key challenge of the Last Quarter if we do this. Virgo Moons are aware of pesky things like our physical limits, our needs for sustenance and safety, and any lurking anxieties we have.
Enjoy the high key warmth but listen to the low key messages. We can warm ourselves, reenergize, and find joy while bringing in those too far away to see the light.
Bonfires are meant to be shared.
