Within the Full Moon phase, Mercury reaches their cazimi. Mind, including perceiving, processing, and communication, connects directly and fully to the Sun within the powerful configuration of the Full Moon eclipse.
Mercury is traveling direct, which tells us they are far from us, on the other side of the Sun. Lines of communication opening now link us to the outer reaches of the cosmos and great shadowy depths. We may see new aspects of our own psyches, a fresh perspective on how life works, or anything that flows between.
This insight, a significant part of a powerful Full Moon, is happening now. This doesn’t imply, though, we suddenly feel total clarity.
Sun and Mercury meet in Scorpio, the most hidden of signs. They meet during an eclipse Full Moon phase, when normal vision is dimmed and magical vision comes into focus. And Mercury remains sequestered within the Sun’s realm.
We might feel a jolt, a shift, a teasing sense of something new on the horizon–or perhaps nothing at all. Any and all of that is fine. The moment happens nonetheless.
As Mercury emerges from the Sun’s beams, new insights will come into focus. Mercury will emerge out from under the obscuring beams when they are 15 from the Sun. Since both are traveling in the same direction, this separation takes longer than when Mercury is retrograde.
We can look for Mercury in the western sky, shining after the Sun has set, around the 7th of December. This is when the messages Mercury collects now, in the heart of the Sun, can be unpacked, explored, and wondered over.
