Overnight tonight, while still in the New Moon phase, the Moon leaves Gemini and enters the sign of Cancer.
After the buzzy mental energy of Gemini, after Mercury’s conjunction with the Sun, the Moon shifts into a space of comfort, safety, and emotions. This is what we need to recenter.
The Moon first trines Jupiter in Pisces. Jupiter is stationary now with a stronger, more intense presence. It’s a good place to be.
Next, the Moon’s will conjunct Venus, also a good place. Jupiter and Venus make connections. Let’s connect thoughts to feelings.
Get comfortable. Breathe. As you settle, see if you can find your center of attention. I’m not talking about a physical place, but rather the place your mind appears to be ‘looking’ from.
Coming off the eclipse, there’s a good chance your center of attention won’t be inside your body. Where is it?
I can get a bit hypervigilant. My center of attention moves, often about two feet above me, a foot or so to my left, and a bit in front.
(If this makes zero sense to you, that’s fine. You might have lots of Earth in your chart which is a nice thing and keeps you grounded. Use the next few days to take good care of yourself.)
If you find your center of attention somewhere outside your body, gently bring it back in. Breathe it into wherever feels best. Maybe the center of your forehead, your chest, or your belly. Whatever feels comfortable, inside your body.
Breathe. Check in, during the Moon’s time in Cancer. Can you notice when and why your center drifts away? Can you ease it back?
Treat this as an interesting and fun collaboration between Gemini (Sun, Mercury, North Node) and Cancer (Moon and Venus). What do you learn and feel as you explore where your center of attention is and how you can ease it back home?
Take care of your self over these Moon in Cancer days.
