Second Jupiter–Pluto Conjunction: Crisis/Response

posted in: Celestial Event | 1

Overnight, Jupiter and Pluto will reach the second of three conjunctions. They are not alone: Pallas Athena has joined them.

This Capricorn group represents so many things: Ossified structures of power. The weight of history. Our need for healthy boundaries, responsive structure, and tough, steady work.

Pluto is Shadow. They show us what we don’t want to see. Where things are toxic and festering. They show us paths to transformation.

Jupiter makes it all bigger. They can be welcoming and optimistic. Or overbearing, bombastic, and ready to lay down the law.

Athena is her father’s daughter. Cool, calculating, and too much in her head, lacking warmth.

It’s something of an echo chamber. Strong voices reinforcing each others’ views, closed to anything outside: This group is unaspected by luminaries, personal planets, and most of the rest of the chart.

Only two connections are made. Eris squares, and Neptune sextiles, the Cap group.

Let’s combine these into some scenarios:

• Only crisis can shift those with a toxic hold on power. They become alarmed, but double down, using deception and illusion to control their base.

• Crisis breaks the hold of the toxic-powerful. The disruption is severe enough that a new vision must be crafted.

• Crisis destroys existing structures. Something new must take its place. Fear rises, and also hope for something better.

These are not mutually exclusive. Some existing structures are on the verge of collapse. The toxic-powerful are doubling down. Fear and hope are present. Many actively reach for new visions and solutions.

Squares are all about challenge, dialogue, and response. Neptune is ready with vision and authentic connection, or deception and fear.

If these placements touch your chart (as they do mine), you will feel this directly. We can all sense the pull between a constant state of activation in crisis mode, and setting healthy boundaries for self care while working for a better world.

Between eclipses, we’re offered insights worthy of our attention.

I sure can feel it today. I’m vacillating between “Yes I can” and “What’s the point”.

I have to do some things that I don’t want to do today. Is it better to wait a couple of days or just Dive In?

I feel that I am finally getting into preparation mode now that Mars has moved out of Pisces and into Aries.

I’ve also had a business rule that I have followed religiously for many years. I do not do anything important or any thing to do with left brain matters until after 12 noon on Mondays. I think I have my answer. Thanks for your guidance
