This morning, the Cancerian tides recede as the Sun triumphantly arrives in their home place, ready to shine.
It’s high summer. Warm. Passionate. Bright. The Sun loves Leo and Leo loves the Sun. It’s a mutual admiration society.
This transition is not without its challenges. The final decan of Cancer reminds us that while there’s plenty around, we can’t have it all, or at least, not everyone can. The opening decan of Leo says, but *I* can!
We’re in the spotlight. If the wattage is up too high, we can’t see anyone else. They become an anonymous audience whose role is to support our stardom.
This is not the best of the Sun or Leo, though. The deeper desire is to bring our light into the world to connect with and benefit others.
It’s not about the small ‘e’ ego but the gift we were born with. What did we come here to do? What Leo truly wants is the chance to bring that gold forward.
So I like that Venus newly in Virgo opposes Jupiter slipping back into Aquarius. Neither of these two are about the Sun at all today. Yet they ground us in the small things of earth and the vastness of the cosmos. Both places invite our participation but not at the cost of anyone else.
Let’s feel the warmth. Let’s shine. And let’s use the light we have to illuminate others too.
