About two hours ago (9:57 am EDT), the Sun and Moon reached their waning trine at 26 Virgo and Taurus. Right about now (11:53 am EDT), Mars is reaching his trine to Pluto. Earth energy is in flow.
This waning trine occurs within the Disseminating phase and marks a time of deep understanding about what has unfolded and what it means.
The fact that Mars and Pluto mirror the Sun–Moon trine, with Mars at 20 Virgo and Pluto a 20 Capricorn, serves to emphasize the depth of this shift.
Virgo season is coming to a close. This mutable Earth sign loves to separate, parse out meanings, sort all the things, and get it right. Mars himself is a separating energy, divisive at times and always ready to say “this, not that.”
The Taurus Moon appreciates tradition, slow time, and doing physical tasks with care.
Pluto in Capricorn steadily, inexorably, does as he always does. Focused in the realm of soul-making, he stirs the cauldron, pours the mixture into the alembic, and lights the fire that will distill its essence.
The ground under our feet has shifted, is still shifting. Today, if we look, we can see what the new territory looks like.
We can grasp something of the essence of this change. We see the fruits of our own labors, the personal work and work in the world we’ve been doing.
Mars pushes us to see, and choose, what will stay and what must go.
These earthy forces can disrupt but are not bent on destruction. Their aim instead is ripening. Bringing long processes to fruition. This is where we are today: At a ripening, a harvest.
There are, naturally, no guarantees about what the harvest might contain. Still, if we have been engaged in authentic change, if we have stayed as true as we can to our core values, there will be deep, nourishing satisfaction in tasting these fruits. There is sweetness in what we have achieved.
