Traveling through the Crescent Moon phase, exploring what is haunting us, why, and how it relates to our New Moon goals, we reach a moment of insight: The waxing sextile.
Sextiles are positive and energized, less easily overlooked than trines. Here we can learn something useful.
Today’s sextile finds the Sun at 9 Scorpio and the Moon at 9 Capricorn—which means the Moon is with the South Node and poised to conjunct Saturn and then Pluto.
The waxing phase is about growing and building, yet this sextile points to excavation. The South Node is the place of the past. Today is the All Souls, when we honor the dead. The Scorpio Sun wants a hard look at what’s going on under the surface.
This sextile lets us check into foundations. We can, if we pay attention, see what is holding up, or holding back, our conscious goals. Are our intentions well supported?
It’s not all hard work. An hour after the Sun-Moon sextile, Venus enters Sagittarius. Coming out from Scorpio’s shadows, she’s ready for the warmth of fire, fellowship, hospitality, and adventure.
An hour after that, the Moon-South Node conjunction is exact.
While the Moon is already applying to Saturn and Pluto, the exact conjunctions are reserved for tomorrow, which, being Saturday, is Saturn’s Day.
So go adventuring with Venus today, which is her own day. Take a look at what is shoring up your psyche, sense of self, agency in the world, and capacity to reach your desires.
Foundations are vitally important. Learning about them is essential. Today, we can get important insights that will feel helpful, vital, and part of the adventure of life.
