The Moon waxes, increasing, bringing more light to the night sky. In this cycle, the growth we seek is in understanding.
What have we learned? How has it changed us? What do we carry forward?
Thursday morning’s waxing sextile is a moment of insight. A realization.
The chart is powerful. The Moon @ 27 Capricorn sextiles the Sun @ 27 Scorpio. We’re in the third, most intense decan of each sign as Sun and Moon both prepare to change.
The Moon is tightly conjunct Saturn and square Venus @ 27 Libra. She too will change signs soon. The Sun also sextiles Saturn.
A shift in perception reminds us of what we have always known: Capricorn is a yin, a feminine sign. Underneath the heavy structures of our modern age lies the Bone Mother, the Cailleach, the Old Woman who carries stones in her apron and makes mountains.
Our reckoning, the wages of patriarchal excess and greed, the impact of treating the Earth as nothing but stuff to use, will be with her. She knows what’s deep in the bone.
She is fierce but do not fear her. She comes to show us there are other ways to build, other ways to create a world. We can all grow together, slowly, like mountains. Our roots are deep.
Where are your deepest roots? How can you feed them? It’s time to look to the origins of things. Our bones must be strong to carry our world, the one we wish to build.
