Waxing Sextile Moon in Scorpio: Upwelling

Saturday morning brings the Sun–Moon sextile within the Crescent phase. This is a moment of exchange, of energized communication.

The conversation we’ll have, though, is not limited to the Sun and Moon. In this chart, Mars is conjunct the Sun. And all the powerful outer planets are making themselves known.

The Moon sits in sextile to the Sun and Mars on one side and Pluto on the other, as Pluto trines the Sun and Mars. Deep material is coming forward.

The Moon trines Neptune as Neptune opposes the Sun and Mars. Visions and dreams are challenging consensual reality. What is usually hidden and considered taboo can be touched and held.

This Moon opposes Uranus and squares Jupiter, although Jupiter and Uranus are too far apart to be considered square. We welcome change even as we are changed ourselves.

In this chart, the luminaries, our lights in the day and in the night, are communing with the cosmos. This is also a pathway in to the depths–below what is known and within our own psyches.

In the oceans, cold winds cause deeper currents to rise to the surface, as surface waters sink. This upwelling brings nutrients from far below up to where animals and plants can be fed.

Think of the Scorpio Moon as currents of cold water moving slowly and inexorably upward, bringing us new material–or more likely ancient material that seems new because we haven’t seen it in a while.

It might feel challenging. And if we dive in, we will be nourished by the experience.
