Tonight’s Waxing Trine Moon swings the pendulum back to the ground for another reality check. Let’s take a look.
The Sun–Moon trine within the First Quarter is a time of insight. The Moon is in capable, sometimes driven, Capricorn. The Sun is in Virgo, ready to check details and make sure all is in order.
By itself, this trine would be checking in on the optimistic soaring we’re doing in this First Quarter. Making sure we’re not too far off the ground.
This trine, though, is not be itself. This is a Grand Trine that includes Uranus and the North Node of the Moon in Taurus. We’re linked to the Uranian drive into a future that’s more uncertain than many of us would like.
The check-in expands to a much larger scale. A reminder we’re checking our preparations not only to sail to the Full Moon, but beyond into an uncertain future.
How can we possibly prepare for changes that are both unclear and monumental?
If the North Node of the future is involved, then the South Node of the past is as well. In fact, our Grand Trine is a Kite with the South Node at its apex. The Sun and Moon sextile the South Node at the same time they trine the North Node (and Uranus).
So the Grand Trine of the future points us to … the past? This actually makes sense.
So much of how we see the world, frame possibilities, and process experiences is conditioned by the past. Our personal past as well as family history and cultural legacies.
We’re here because our ancestors survived, again and again. Some thrived, but many struggled through hard times and difficult circumstances. They had skills and tenacity.
So tonight’s Kite pattern, which includes the Waxing Trine, is checking in. What legacies from the past can we call on for strength, skill, and a will to win through? Which legacies might be in need of healing?
We’ve all inherited some of both.
